What is a reliable VPN in Shanghai?

I fly to shanghai tomorrow can anybody recommend a good vpn to use while I’m there that’s reliable. Thx

Magnus Petersen: Lantern

Magnus Petersen: And its free

Rebecca E C Bulmer: Thank you 🙂

Magnus Petersen: I use it right now to send this text 😀

Salomé Dayan: Vpalien very good vpn! Cheap and secure!

Rebecca E C Bulmer: Thank you

Himanshu Jangra: Lantern all the way.. But ExpressVPN will also help whn lantern will not

Rebecca E C Bulmer: That’s great had heard vpn express also good

Stacey Poncia: i have two: vypr and astrill.

Sven Aarne Serrano: Witopia. Worth the $, excellent immediate online support.

Shane Vey: Anything except Astrill, they are horrible

William Vaughan: Ni hao Rebecca, free VPNs are nice but the trade-off is more personal data exposure through the user agreement. Not necessarily bad, just something to consider. I’ve had success with the four pictured amongst all my devices. After testing successfully, I opted for annual plans but monthly is also offered. Sometimes, for various reasons, one VPN works better than the others. SurfEasy and HotSpot offer multiple device licenses with one plan. Hope that helps your decision.

Rebecca E C Bulmer: Thank you William, I was told I would need to get a vpn before I arrive is that correct? Cheers for your help 🙂

John Paul: Hi, William, May i ask how much does it cost average for the vpn?

William Vaughan: Rebecca, Yes it is faster and “easier” to download and install a VPN before you arrive.

Rebecca E C Bulmer: Ok thanks, I will look at doing that today

William Vaughan: John Paul, the average (US) cost for these and similar VPNs is $6-$12 a month depending on what billing cycle you choose. The monthly cost slides down depending on the package you choose (monthly, 3-month, 6-month, or annual). During my house hunting…See More

John Paul: William Vaughan,Thanks for explain, Actually, there are some vpn is for free. I use Lantern, and some others. They are all free.

William Vaughan: John Paul, how those free VPNs make a profit can be highly suspect. Essentially, you’re not the customer…you are the product being sold. Generally, there are two ways to make profit with free VPN. One is plugin Ads in client/app to win money- another…See More

John Paul: William Vaughan It’s ok with my profile. Thanks for alarm.:-)

Divi Malshe: Express Vpn

Mohamed Moshrif: Astrill + StealthVPN. The normal one is bad but the stealth one is very good

Najet Humbert: Lantern is free. I use Astrill and my husband uses ExpressVPN. With the slow internet connection here they’re not the best but they do the job.

Blake Cook: no comment, don’t want to make China’s Internet Bureau and its Ministry of Public Safety’s job any easier than everyone here is already making it. ?

Phil O’Connor: Haha, but it’s a fair comment above, people really need to cop on a little and quit discussing veepeennz on China related group chats! 🙂

Maurizio Vrenna: Just go for ExpressVPN, I tried several ones and this one is the best! Here’s a referral so that you can have 30 days free: http://www.expressrefer.com/refer-a-friend/30-days-free/…

ExpressVPN | Get 30 days free ($12.95 value)

Erin K. Cleary-Parr: WE also use Express. It works well, though because it is a bigger vpn company Netflix knows about it. We are still able to stream Amazon Prime.

Maya Ayugai Yao: Ark VPN is good too

Yan Liu: down load a Lantern!

Akiyama Hirotaka: shadowsocks or lantern!

Saad Bahna: now the weather is Shanghai is too hot high Humidity have a nice trip

Ульяна Тен: Free and fast, I’m using right at the moment Psiphon. If you using apple the menu might be in chinese, but theres only one button in the application

Wally Cheung: Sorry, ignore my previous messege. I use Betternet and it is free.

Christopher Butler: Vpnac.com use secure proxy plugin on Chrome… BEST

VPN.AC – Secure, Fast, Reliable VPN Service

Liz Traveler: I used Express VPN, was good!!
