What to do and where to stay on a budget in Shanghai?

Hello everyone. My friend and I are coming to Shanghai next week for a few days and hoping to get some advice on what to do and where to stay on a budget? Hopefully someone can make some recommendations. Thanks

张福鹏: You can stay in some chain hotels, which might be cheaper

Alex Yi: travel?

Andrea Naudé: Thanks but found a pretty good hostel

Paige Wu: Also free parties, free drinks! contact me on wechat: kasmekat. I will add you into shanghai parties group ??

Anmol Jadav: Kindly go to Zapata’s club near Former French Concession. Entry is free. You could also go to Bar Rouge at Bund which offers a stunning view of Pudong Skyline from its open roof area. You could interact with other expats. Kindly wear semi formals. If you go before 9 pm, the entry is free. If you love intense music and clubbing, then Mint is for you. The entry is free. Kindly sit at the 4th floor of IFC Mall on the terrace, right in the heart of Pudong Skyline as the three giant towers glitter. A stunning view. Kindly go to the 101st floor of SWFC observatory. They give you coupons so you can avail discounts on food and drinks.
